We offer a range of tailored packages giving you the chance to handle and fly a variety of Birds of Prey in the stunning setting of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. See below for the different packages we offer, or call us to create an extra special experience of your own.
Half Day Birds of Prey Experience
The experience begins with an introduction to our unique collection of trained raptors, ranging from the beautiful Spectacled and Milky Eagle Owls, Harris Hawks and Peregrine Falcons to the awesome Golden and White-Tailed Sea Eagles. You will really enjoy learning the techniques of how to handle and fly some of these magnificent birds of prey in the picturesque Dales countryside under the guidance of an expert falconer.
Price £70 per person. Available from 1st September to 31st March. Maximum of four participants on each experience.
Full Day Birds of Prey Experience
The morning follows the same format as the half day Birds of Prey Experience until we break for lunch (included). We then venture out onto the beautiful hillsides of Pen-y-Ghent with a selection of birds of prey including Harris Hawks, a Common Buzzard and a stunning Bateleur Eagle. These birds are given their independence to soar in the skies above, returning to your gloved hand time and time again. You will never forget a day spent in the presence of these magnificent creatures.
Price £125 per person. Available from 1st September to 31st March. Maximum of four participants on each experience.
Half Day Falconry Experience
Experience the thrill of real falconry as keen Harris Hawks and Goshawks fly from your gloved hand in pursuit of fit, wild hill rabbits in the spectacular Yorkshire Dales countryside. Anticipation and excitement is guaranteed in this action-packed experience.
Price £70 per person. Available from 1st September to 28th February. Maximum of four participants on each experience.
Full Day Falconry Experience
After an introduction to our team of trained raptors, you will have the opportunity to learn how to handle and fly various birds from our collection in the local countryside. After completing the morning's handling and flying it's time for lunch (included). The afternoon is spent flying Harris' Hawks or Goshawks at the local rabbit population. Occasionally, our ferrets are taken along to bolt rabbits from their warrens so the birds can pursue them. It's great fun to witness this fascinating sport as the Hawks do their best to try and catch the wily rabbits of the Yorkshire Dales.
Price £125 per person. Available from 1st September to 28th February. Maximum of four participants on each experience.
Spectators
Spectators are welcome to accompany participants on the day. This gives ample opportunity to observe at close hand and take photographs to capture those special moments.
Price £20 per person for the half day experiences and £30 per person for the full day experiences.
Lunch included on the full day experience.
